My team member informed me about the pregnancy, what now?

🎉 This is wonderful news!

Now we have to take care of couple of things:

Inform the People team

Make sure to inform People (@Kaylie Boogaerts) as soon as possible. Agree with your team member whether you or they will do so.

Depending on the team member’s type of employment and country, the People team may need to check local laws and whether the team member will need to apply for any local pay assistance.

Due date and parental leave plans

Understand when the team member plans to take their parental leave, and make sure that

it’s communicated with People.
the team member requests the parental leave in Humaans.

Transition plan

Support the team member with setting up a transition plan.
