We offer up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave to be taken in maximum 2 blocks before the first birthday or the first anniversary of adoption. This applies whether you're the birth parent, second parent or adoptive parent.

You are eligible for this paid parental leave if you become a parent while working ****at Checkly.

If your local jurisdiction offers more, you are entitled to that.

If your jurisdiction of employment provides pay assistance for parental or extended leave, this needs to be applied and, in some cases, can replace Checkly's contribution if it meets or exceeds our policy above. If your jurisdiction of employment provides partial pay assistance, Checkly will contribute the remaining amount to reach 100% of base pay during parental leave. For example, if you are in the USA, you will be required to apply for any (state) benefits such as Paid Family Medical Leave and Short Term Disability benefits that are available to you.

Your annual leave will be reduced by 1/12 for each full calendar month of parental leave. Translated into US terms, this means that annual leave will not accrue during parental leave.

Please let your manager and People Ops know about the pregnancy and expected birth or adoption at an early stage so that we can plan accordingly.
