Public holidays are a great time to rest and recharge, but not all public holidays matter to all employees. Public holidays are often based on culture or religion that not everyone celebrates.

• By default, you get your local public holidays off. In this case, Humaans automatically shows those days as time off for you.
• If you prefer, you can opt in to have flexible public holidays. With flexible public holidays, you can schedule the amount of your local public holidays as time off when it suits you.
  • To opt in, ping Kaylie in the #people-and-operations Slack channel to let her know you want to opt in to the flexible public holidays.
  • To schedule your flexible public holidays, schedule them as you would normal vacation/time off in Humaans, but select the “Flexible public holidays” type.
  • You cannot carry over any flexible public holidays to the next calendar year, so make sure to take all of them before December 31st!
  • The amount of flexible public holidays that you get in the year you join or leave Checkly is the same amount you would have had if you had your regular local public holidays.
